‘Born to rock!’
Music plays an important part in the life of our school and the joy of singing and a sense of rhythm are promoted in all pupils. Children are given the opportunity to learn to play a wide range of instruments in school. Peripatetic teachers from the North Yorkshire music service currently come into school for instrumental tuition. Over 80% of our KS2 children play instruments ranging from brass, woodwind, guitar, electrical guitar to violin and piano. We love to take part in Young Voices (the world’s largest choir) and have an annual Festival of Music in school. We take every opportunity to perform with our local cluster of schools!
