Bewerley Park Day 1
Bewerley Park Residential – Day 1 Highlights
We’ve had a fantastic start to our residential adventure at Bewerley Park! After arriving, the children quickly got settled by finding their rooms, unpacking, and even making their own beds – a great step towards independence. We were then given a tour of the site, helping everyone feel comfortable and excited about their new surroundings.
Without wasting any time, we jumped straight into our first activity: orienteering. The children worked brilliantly in teams, using maps, problem-solving skills, and lots of determination to complete a series of increasingly challenging courses. It was wonderful to see such strong teamwork and encouragement throughout.
As evening fell, the excitement continued with an “alien hunt” around the grounds in the dark. The children used the skills they had developed earlier in the day time to navigate their way around, showing confidence and resilience in a fun setting.
Before bed, everyone enjoyed a well-earned treat of hot chocolate and homemade biscuits, followed by some calm wind-down time. There was plenty of excitement as the children settled in for the night, ready to recharge for another action-packed day tomorrow.
We’re all looking forward to what Day 2 will bring!
