The story of The Good Samaritan provides the roots for our vision and values.
Courage
The Good Samaritan showed courage. He demonstrated kindness comes from the unexpected. He had the courage to be the person that made a difference.
We demonstrate this value by:
standing up for what is right and having the strength to question;
showing resilience; and
daring to be different.
Love
The Good Samaritan showed love when he helped someone in need.
We demonstrate this value by:
caring for our neighbours and ourselves;
ensuring everyone matters; and
listening and respecting others.
Service
Jesus encourages us to serve others. The Good Samaritan showed service by helping others who needed assistance.
We demonstrate this value by:
acting selflessly;
supporting all communities; and
demonstrating courageous advocacy by championing causes that are special and meaningful to us.
Our vision was developed with input from pupils, parents, carers, staff and governors.
Our values underpin our vision and express how we live our lives, what we stand for and what we consider important in helping us to demonstrate our vision daily.
Our vision and values help everyone in our school community steer their way through daily challenges, make choices and decisions, ultimately maintaining strong relationships in our school and wider community.
We explore our vision and values through daily collective worship and RE lessons; by living up to them in our everyday interactions with one another and incorporating them into all areas of our curriculum. Our values lead us towards a strong moral code and support us in our vision to provide a setting where every child has the opportunity to shine, flourish and make a difference.
