Bewerley Park Day 2
Bewerley Park Residential – Day 2 Highlights
After an exciting first night, we were greeted this morning by a group of slightly tired (but still very enthusiastic!) children. Everyone had plenty to talk about from their first evening away, and spirits were high as we headed down for breakfast.
We enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast, which set us up perfectly for the busy day ahead. With full stomachs and renewed energy, we got ready for a day packed with adventure.
One group headed out to Brimham Rocks for an unforgettable rock scrambling experience. The children showed great determination and bravery as they climbed and explored the incredible rock formations. Along the way, they tackled famous features such as the Smartie, the Cheese Grater, and the Toblerone, carefully navigating each challenge while supporting and encouraging one another. It was fantastic to see their confidence grow throughout the session.
Meanwhile, the other group took part in an adventurous Bushcraft session. This included connecting with nature through activities like forest bathing, as well as practical skills such as den-building and campfire experiences. The children embraced the outdoors, worked collaboratively, and really enjoyed learning new skills in a natural environment.
This evening, everyone had the chance to visit the tuck shop – always a highlight! This was followed by games and social time in the common room, where there has been lots of laughter and fun to round off another brilliant day.
We’re very proud of how the children are supporting each other and making the most of every opportunity. Bring on Day 3!
