Bewerley Park Update
Dear Kite class families
I wanted to send another Bewerley Park reminder. I haven't organised another information evening since the first one, as I haven't received any questions or queries from the first one! Please do get in touch if you have any questions.
Timetable
We leave on the coach on Monday 16th at 9:30 from school. Pupils will need to arrive at the normal time for school. Pupils will come in and drop their bags off in the hall. We will be returning to school at roughly 2:30pm on Friday 20th. We invite you in to come and collect your child for when we return. If there are any changes to our ETA we will contact you all via Arbor.
Medication
Pupils cannot have any medication administered to them or by themselves. Any medication needs to be prescribed by a medical professional and submitted to us before school begins on the 16th. I would appreciate you letting me know about any changes to medical needs as soon as possible.
Please note, Paracetamol, Calpol etc are not permitted for pupils to have.
Night-time
If there is any additional information that we need to know pertaining to nighttime arrangements - please let us know ASAP. We have action plans and processes in place for handling any possible nighttime incidents as discreetly and sensitively as possible. There are multiple adults assigned to each dormitory for support, who are all able to deal with any challenges pupils may face throughout the night.
Packed lunch
Pupils will need a packed lunch on the first day for the trip. I'd strongly recommend sending this lunch in a plastic/paper bag so that the pupils don't have an extra lunchbox to worry about. We can always reuse the bags during the week! If your child requires a school-packed lunch for that first day - please let me know as soon as possible.
Pupils will also need a water bottle for the week.
I have also attached a sample menu for you to have a look at.
Sleeping arrangements
I have the staffing and sleeping arrangements completely sorted and ready for them. I will not be telling the pupils where they'll be - children will find out their room arrangements when they arrive. I've organised this sensitively.
Kit & packing
If you have any questions in regard to the kit, please let me know as soon as possible. I've re-attached the kit list to the email again - I'll send another kit list out physically to all pupils. Pupils will need wellies/waterproof boots for the activities we have planned. Anything in the 'optional' section is exactly that - pupils may benefit from having it - but it isn't necessary.
Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to know or believe it's important we know, as soon as possible so we can prepare. Thank you to those who have already contacted us.
