Make a Difference Day

Further to my weekly update on Friday please see below details regarding this term's 'Make a Difference Day' on Wednesday.
The School Council have organised lots of awareness activities for pupils to participate in throughout the day and are currently finalising the day with their class teachers.
Children are invited to wear Forest School type clothing (water proof jacket and warm layers), as all year groups will be outside litter-picking in the village throughout the day. If your child has a litter-picker, we encourage them to bring it to school, however this is not essential. Gardening gloves are also encouraged, but again, not essential, normal gloves will suffice.
The School Council have also invited pupils to participate in a 'Bake Off'. Children are invited to bring in a bake of their choosing for a £1 entry fee - this can be a large cake, or lots of little ones...the choice is theirs. Our 'Bake Off Judges' will then select some winners! All entry money will be donated to a food poverty charity that the school council are selecting. Please note - entries MUST NOT CONTAIN NUTS or PEANUTS.
At the end of the day the cake entries will be available to buy at the after-school 'Bake Off Cake Sale' and all money raised from this will go towards the school council fund - the council are fundraising to raise money for a physical activity voted for by the children - please see the school council page for minutes of their last meeting. The target is £500.
