National Poetry Day World Guinness Book Of World Records News!

On 3rd October 2024, children in years 2-6 took part in a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest ever poetry lesson led online by the wonderful poet, Laura Mucha. We had very strict guidelines to follow and it has taken GWR many months to do their checks to ensure all guidelines were adhered to. But we can reveal that...
WE DID IT! Wahoo! We helped to break a Guinness World Record!

The formal record is for 43,516 people (from around 500 schools), which is enough to fill a football stadium! More than 125,000 young people from over 1,000 schools took part in the lesson, but many couldn’t be counted due to the VERY strict Guinness World Records requirements. But every single person counted in terms of creating the poem, and being part of our record-breaking event and community.

Please see below an illustrated copy of the poem and a thank you letter to your child from Laura Mucha.
