Welcome Back from Mrs Wolfe

Dear families

It was wonderful to welcome the children back to school today! The classrooms were quickly filled with smiles, stories from the half term break, and a great sense of excitement for the half term ahead (albeit a short one!). Thank you for helping the children return ready to learn.

As we settle back into routines, we would like to remind families about the importance of wearing appropriate school uniform each day; our uniform helps promote a sense of pride and belonging within our school community. A reminder that jewellery, smart watches, coloured hair and false nails should not be worn. Hair accessories should be subtle and in school colours. For further information and to view our school uniform policy please visit https://burtonleonard.n-yorks.sch.uk/Parents/School-Uniform/

With the recent inclement weather and cooler conditions, please ensure your child comes to school prepared. Warm jackets and raincoats are strongly recommended, and all jumpers and outerwear should be clearly labelled with your child’s name. On wet days, packing a spare pair of socks can also be very helpful.

Year 5 continue their Forest School sessions this Thursday.

Year 2, Year 3 & Year 4 have Yoga with Karen this half term.

Teachers will update parents with any other information pertinent to their classes.

Celebration returns this Friday at 9:15 - we look forward to seeing you there!

Please look out for a message I will be sending on behalf of our Chair of Governors, Mrs Jennifer Hewitt, which details information following our recent parent questionnaire.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We are looking forward to a positive and productive half term working together to support your child’s learning and wellbeing.

Kind regards
Rebecca Wolfe
