Governing Body

Our governors take an active part in school life and provide challenge, support and strategic direction for the school.

If you wish to contact a member of the governing body, please do so through the school office.

Clerk to the Governors:

Carol Harris

Governing body core functions:

  • Setting strategic direction
  • Holding headteacher to account for educational performance
  • Ensuring financial health, probity and value for money

Vision:

Our vision is “to love our neighbour, enabling everyone to shine and make a difference in the world”

Strategic Goals:

  1. Quality of education

All our children have access to an outstanding education: a carefully planned, ambitious, well-balanced curriculum, delivered systematically enabling everyone to shine. All children develop detailed knowledge and skills across the curriculum, achieve well and are ready for the next stage of education.

  1. Personal development

Our children are happy, confident and resilient learners. They stand up for what is right and have the courage to challenge themselves and others. We offer all children opportunities to develop and discover their interests and talents. Safeguarding is the first priority.

  1. Leadership

Leaders embody the school’s vision and values. They are ambitious and drive the school forward with integrity and fidelity. There is a culture of trust and constructive challenge.

  1. Behaviour and attitudes

Our children understand the Rule of Law and model exemplary behaviour. They demonstrate love and respect for their neighbours and themselves. They selflessly support our communities, demonstrating courageous advocacy by championing causes that are special and meaningful.

Curriculum Intent

Our curriculum is built upon our school vision - 'To love our neighbour, enabling everyone to shine and make a difference in the world'; which is demonstrated through our chosen values of love, courage and service.   It is grown from, and pertinent to, the strengths and needs of our children, family and community and begins with the Bible story of 'The Good Samaritan', from which our vision has grown.

Our curriculum contains a number of 'curriculum ribbons';

  • community & heritage
  • spirituality
  • diversity
  • wellbeing
  • dreams and aspirations
  • enterprise.

Our ribbons ensure enriched opportunities for our children within our curriculum, enabling them to shine personally, spiritually and academically.
