Inclusion Week
Week Beginning 11th November
Monday - Remembrance
We are holding our own Act of Remembrance in school
Tuesday - Odd Socks Day - pupils are invited to wear odd socks for the day!
Odd Socks Day was initiated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, a coalition of organisations and individuals in the United Kingdom committed to stopping bullying and creating safer environments for young people. The campaign uses the playful act of wearing odd socks to send a serious message about accepting and celebrating differences. Pupils will be learning more about this in worship and teachers have planned a session to explore this further in class.
Children to wear their PE kits, as usual.
Wednesday - World Kindness Day
Classes will be completing an act of kindness throughout the day
Thursday - Jeans for Genes Day - pupils are invited to wear jeans for the day with their PE kit on top!
The Jeans for Genes campaign raises awareness of who we are as individuals and our genetics. Teachers have planned a session to explore this further in class.
As it is a PE day, it is recommended that pupils bring their tracksuit bottoms/shorts to change into.
Friday - Children in Need - pupils are invited to donate £1 to wear something yellow, spotty, pyjamas or fancy dress - anything to make everyone smile!
We are also asking pupils to bring as much loose change/coins as they can to fill a Pudsey face on the playground!
School Council are also running Pudsey-themed activities with Mr Stace at playtimes.
