Our intent is for all our children to be happy confident mathematics so they can recall and apply their knowledge confidently in the real world. In successful problem solving they will be able to persevere, reason, explain and prove their thinking. Children will be given the opportunity to practice maths in physically active, interactive and fun ways. Their grasp of mathematical concepts is based on practical experience working individually and in groups using a range of resources. The emphasis on fluency, reasoning and problem solving is evident in all lessons. We use White Rose Hub resources as well as The National Centre for the Excellent Teaching of Mathematics and Active Maths.
